Mentalab is an innovative biosensor and neurotechnology company based in Munich, Germany. Our high-precision EEG sensor systems are used by scientists, researchers and companies worldwide to gain deep insights into the functioning of the brain. We are looking for a highly motivated and analytical Senior Researcher to join our research department in Munich.

Your Responsibilities

• Hands-on Research: Active involvement in scientific projects, including protocol design, piloting of experiments, as well as project planning and advisory role
• Data Analysis: Conducting advanced biomedical signal processing, physiological data analysis, and statistical analysis, followed by clear presentation of results.
• Scientific Writing: Leading the manuscript writing process for peer‑reviewed journals and international conferences.
• Grant Writing: Drafting and submitting grant proposals in both German and English.
• Study Design: Designing, planning, and structuring new studies and experiments.
• Compliance: Managing ethics board applications and related regulatory processes.

Your Profile

• Resident in greater Munich area with valid work permit (obligatory)
• Education: Doctorate / PhD in biomedical sciences, neurophysiology, or a related field.
• Analytical Skills: Proficiency in statistical analysis and deep experience in biomedical signal processing, analysis, or big data analysis.
• Writing Excellence: Expert-level scientific writing skills in English.
• Research Background: Proven experience in a related or transferable research domain (e.g., clinical, epidemiological, or similar).
• Track record: Experience and proven work in relevant domains (publications, grants)
• Languages: Fluent in English and German (written and oral).
