The Hot and Dense QCD matter department is one of the 3 theory departments at GSI with the focus of investigations of strongly‑interacting matter under extreme conditions.

The Hot and Dense QCD matter department is looking for a Senior Researcher.

Independent and self‑responsible research:

• Functional renormalization group methods for QCD and effective theory approaches at an internationally competitive level
• Independent scientific developments related to exotic phases of QCD matter at high density and their signatures.

Scientific services in the research areas of the group:

• Collaboration with the existing research groups on predictions for HADES and CBM
• Publications and scientific presentations
• Support in supervising bachelor's and master's students and doctoral candidates
• Group‑specific organization and academic self‑administration.
