Senior Rust Software Engineer - Banking Platform (m/f/x)

In this role you will design and build high-throughput, low-latency financial systems in Rust, delivering dependable core services for time-sensitive data. You’ll work within an engineering team to ensure performance, correctness, and observability while handling streaming data and real-time decisioning. You will shape APIs, data models, and architectures to scale with a growing fintech platform. • Design and build latency-sensitive Rust services for high-frequency data and decisioning
• Implement robust, testable financial logic with strict correctness guarantees
• Build and maintain streaming pipelines (real-time inputs, event processing, feedback loops)
• Optimize performance across CPU, memory, and network via profiling and benchmarking
• Collaborate on API design, data models, and system architecture

• University degree in a relevant field or comparable qualification
• Extensive experience with Rust, Docker, AWS, Terraform
• Strong Rust proficiency (ownership, lifetimes, concurrency, async, error handling)
• Excellent systems thinking around latency, throughput, backpressure, failure modes
• Experience building high-performance production services and low-latency systems
• Strong analytical thinking in technical and product domains
• Excellent communication skills tailored to engineering/product stakeholders
• Passion for well-architected, testable, documented code
• Experience with coding agents (e.g., Codex) is a plus
• Experience with domain-driven design and distributed architectures / microservices is a plus
• Background in financial services with exposure to compliance/audit is a plus
