For an internationally active technology company in the fields of building automation, sensor technology, and smart system solutions, we are seeking an experienced professional who actively drives technological developments and oversees innovative sensor solutions throughout the entire product lifecycle as a Senior Sensor Technology / Smart Building Expert (m/f/d).

• Technical responsibility for the further development and innovation of sensor solutions in smart building and automation systems
• Monitoring and evaluating international market and technology trends in the fields of sensor technology, IoT, and smart buildings
• Developing technology roadmaps and innovation strategies in close collaboration with product management
• Developing and evaluating new sensor solutions at the hardware and software levels
• Designing modern solutions to enhance energy efficiency, user comfort, and sustainability
• Technical leadership of interdisciplinary development and innovation projects
• Collaboration on cross-technology applications in the field of building automation and networked systems
• Providing technical consulting to development, sales, and customers
• Support with complex commissioning processes, technical issues, and customer complaints
• Establishing and further developing suitable test environments for quality assurance
• Supporting selected customer projects for the testing and validation of new sensor solutions

What you should bring

• A bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, communications engineering, physics, or a comparable technical field
• Ideally, a specialization in sensor technology, measurement technology, building automation, or a related field
• Several years of experience in the development, integration, or evaluation of complex sensor systems
• Knowledge of smart buildings, IoT, building automation, or networked technical systems
• In-depth understanding of hardware and software solutions in the field of sensor technology
• Knowledge of system architecture, data analysis, and networking strategies
• Strong affinity for new technologies and innovative applications
• Experience in the technical management of interdisciplinary projects
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Experience collaborating with development, product management, and sales
• Excellent written and spoken German and English skills
