Senior SEO / GEO Manager (m/f/d)

Full-time (40 hours) or part-time (min. 25 hours) job in Münster

We are currently a 20‑strong full‑service advertising agency with a strong focus on online marketing (and a top 100 SEO service provider and 17th out of 800 SEO agencies in Germany). We currently serve around 100 medium‑size clients in various industries with between 5 and 3,000 employees.

Responsibilities and Tasks

• Strategy & Growth
  • Development and implementation of holistic SEO & GEO strategies
  • Analysing search intentions, topic clusters and content gaps
  • Building sustainable visibility in classic search engines and AI systems
• AI Search & GEO
  • Optimisation of content for LLMs, AI overviews & generative search systems
  • Development of entity‑based SEO strategies
  • Building structured data, semantic signals and authority
• Analysis & Performance
  • Conducting SEO audits (on‑page, technical, content)
  • Monitoring relevant KPIs (visibility, traffic, conversions)
  • Derivation of data‑driven measures and roadmaps
• Content & Structure
  • Planning and management of content marketing measures
  • Keyword, topic and competition analyses
  • Development of scalable content systems
• Off‑Page & Authority
  • Planning and implementation of link building strategies
  • Analysis and optimisation of backlink profiles
• Leadership & Communication
  • Management and further development of team members
  • Strategic consulting and direct customer contact
  • Interface to development, content & paid teams

Qualifications

• Completed vocational training (commercial or creative) and/or a degree (commercial or creative) and/or relevant professional experience

• At least 3+ years of experience in SEO (agency or in‑house)
• Sound understanding of technical SEO (crawling, indexing, page speed), content SEO & information architecture
• Experience with tools such as: Sistrix, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Analytics
• Ideally first points of contact with AI Search / GEO / LLM SEO, structured data & semantic optimisation
