Develop sophisticated Java and web applications across the frontend and backend
Contribute your expertise to client projects and develop sustainable solutions together with clients
Analyze existing systems and identify opportunities for modernization
Develop strategies for the effective evolution of established applications
Transform existing applications and architectures into modern, future-proof solutions
Apply Clean Code, Test-Driven Development, and DevOps practices
Assess current technologies, architectures, and trends for their suitability and practical application
Analyze complex technical challenges and optimize existing solutions
Integrate legacy systems with modern technologies
Work closely with colleagues and other teams
Provide technical consulting to clients, challenge existing approaches, and support the sustainable evolution of applications and architectures

Requirements

Several years of experience in full-stack development
Strong backend focus in Java, ideally complemented by Kotlin or Python
In-depth knowledge of modern Java development with Spring, particularly Spring Boot and Spring Cloud
Solid experience with Jakarta EE and traditional enterprise application landscapes
Knowledge of application servers such as JBoss or WebSphere
Understanding of the differences and relationships between traditional and modern Java architectures
Ideally, experience modernizing applications and systems or supporting migrations to new architectures
Regular involvement in frontend development
Ideally, experience with React or Angular, as well as JSF or PrimeFaces
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud services
Ability to understand complex system landscapes and design and implement new technical solutions
Strong self-organization, team spirit, and outstanding problem-solving skills
Ideally, experience in leading projects or parts of projects
Native-level German
Confident communication skills in English
