Senior Software Engineer Backend (Crypto): Develop and maintain dashboards and tools to improve quality metrics and reliability of Coinbase's retail app, leveraging AI-driven development practices with an accent on large scale distributed systems and engineering culture improvements. Focus on designing and solving complex platform-level challenges, driving engineering standards, and collaborating across teams to enhance product experience and software reliability.

Location: Hybrid with in-person participation required throughout the year

Salary: 191,100 SGD annually

What you will do

Develop and maintain dashboards and tools to identify and drive improvements to key quality metrics.
Partner with engineering teams to tackle key reliability and performance initiatives.
Advocate for quality culture improvements by enhancing testing, observability, and tech debt management.
Collaborate with PM, Design, and other functions to align product strategy with long-term technical roadmap.
Elevate engineering quality through design and code review guidance and process improvements.
Lead adoption of AI-driven development practices.

Requirements

5+ years of software development experience with large scale distributed systems.
Strong software engineering background with experience in Python, Java, JavaScript, Go, or similar.
Experience with observability, debugging, and profiling to improve software reliability and performance.
Ability to collaborate across teams and influence engineering culture.
Passion for improving product experience and engineering hygiene.
Responsible use of generative AI tools and human-in-the-loop practices.
