Senior Frontend Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Frontend Engineer to join a small but fast‑growing Frontend Engineering team that builds highly robust product features that analyze blockchain transaction activity at massive scale. As an early member of the team, you will be deeply involved in technical details and champion the team’s mission to build a safer financial system for billions of people.

The impact you’ll have here

• Building a large‑scale web application that manages billions of transactions using React and Redux
• Working with Backend Engineers, Designers, and Product to build features and ship product
• Finding and addressing performance issues
• Participating in code and design reviews
• Developing a deep understanding of crypto and blockchain to inform product design and direction
• Collaborating with product lead and customers to define a new category of enterprise software
• Staying current on frontend best practices

What we’re looking for

• Knack for great design and intuitive UX
• Strong Computer Science fundamentals
• Extensive experience with modern front‑end frameworks (e.g., Vue.js, React.js) and CSS‑in‑JS libraries (e.g., styled‑components)
• Experience designing and building data‑heavy front‑end applications
• Experience with virtual currencies, applications, and their use in financial networks and blockchain analysis is a plus
• Adaptable: goals can change fast; you anticipate and react quickly
• Autonomous: you own what you work on, move fast, and get things done
• Excellent communication: able to communicate complex ideas effectively to technical and non‑technical audiences, both verbally and in writing
• Collaborative: you work collaboratively in a cross‑functional team and with people at all levels in an organization

About the Team

• The team operates on a weekly sprint schedule and leads projects as technical anchors
• We work closely with product, design, and data platform teams to deliver impactful features
• Team timezone includes EST and PST, with at least six hours of overlap (8 am to 2 pm PST)
• On‑call rotation: roughly one week every four weeks; frontend issues from customer support are triaged during on‑call

Compensation

• Individual pay is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location; the listed salary reflects US base pay only
• Estimated base salary range: $180,000 – $210,000
• Role may be eligible to participate in TRM’s equity plan
• Compensation may vary for geographies outside the United States

Engineering Levels

Engineer: helps define project milestones and executes small decisions independently with appropriate trade‑offs; mentors junior engineers and drives operational excellence.

Senior Engineer: designs and documents system improvements and features from the ground up, delivers efficient and reusable systems, mentors team members, and enhances cross‑team collaboration.

Staff Engineer: drives scoping and execution of multiple high‑impact projects, partners with stakeholders to set vision and roadmap, mentors the engineering organization, and ensures system health through rigorous testing and monitoring.
