Senior Software Engineer – Java

• Architect, design, and deliver complex application features
• Set high technical and software standards across the team
• Guide junior and mid-level engineers and foster technical growth, continuous learning, and clean code practices
• Shape the agile delivery lifecycle from architecture refinement and epic definition through production releases
• Own non-functional requirements for application health, system resilience, security, and performance at scale
• Evaluate emerging industry trends, AI tools, and elastic cloud technologies and implement innovative solutions
• Embed secure development practices and vulnerability mitigation protocols into the continuous delivery pipeline
• Partner with product management, cross-functional engineering teams, and external vendor partners to align technical strategies with business priorities
• Provide strategic tier-3 support for production systems
• Manage priorities and time effectively

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, architecture, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience)
• Minimum 6+ years in a technical software development role with demonstrated progression into senior-level technical leadership
• 4+ years of deep experience architecting and developing enterprise Java applications using Spring Framework
• Comprehensive automated testing experience
• Extensive experience designing, building, securing, and maintaining scalable RESTful microservices and API ecosystems
• Advanced expertise with AWS or Azure
• Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes or ECS/Fargate, Lambda, SQS, SNS, and CloudFormation or Terraform
• Proven track record in database design, complex SQL optimization, and efficient ORM/data access management
• Experience leading the architectural lifecycle of major production‑grade features from inception to deployment
• Strong expertise in system design patterns, distributed systems architecture, microservices, and clean code principles
• Deep knowledge of secure development practices, security testing methodologies, and vulnerability resolution using tools like Snyk or Qualys
• Strong inclination toward CI/CD automation, DevOps principles, performance tuning, and proactive system monitoring
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to mentor team members and convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
