Senior Software Engineer - Madison

Salary: $146,244.8 - 164,964.8 per year

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of enterprise software engineering experience, with a strong focus on HCM integrations.
• Advanced expertise in Oracle HCM Cloud, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), HCM Extracts, HDL/HSDL, and Fast Formulas.
• Demonstrated experience leading technical architecture, CI/CD practices, and engineering standards.
• Must live within commuting distance of Bellevue, Washington; Madison, New Jersey; New York City, New York; or Boston, Massachusetts, for a hybrid schedule after conversion.
• Preferred: Experience in SOX-compliant or other regulated enterprise environments.
• Preferred: Hands-on experience with Visual Builder Studio (VBS) and creating custom HCM security roles.
• Preferred: Experience with Agile/Scrum development and Jira.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and support of end-to-end integrations between Oracle HCM Cloud and external platforms, including Fidelity, Shareworks, and Aetna.
• Build custom OIC integrations, REST and SOAP APIs, HCM Extracts, HDL/HSDL data loaders, Fast Formulas, and RTF/XSLT templates.
• Configure and maintain HCM security roles, workflows, approval routing, and Visual Builder Studio page customizations.
• Review code and architecture, create engineering runbooks, and mentor colleagues to strengthen operational coverage.
• Lead escalations involving production troubleshooting, system monitoring, and root-cause analysis for critical data pipelines.

Join our enterprise technology team as a Senior HCM Integration Engineer and technical leader, partnering with HR and IT leadership to strengthen integrations across the enterprise HCM ecosystem. This contract role is remote, with an 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. work schedule; the listed pay range is $70.31–$79.31 per hour. A hybrid schedule may apply after conversion. Compensation depends on factors such as education, experience, location, duties, and certifications.
