Senior Software Engineer - REDAPL Graph Engine

In this role you will help elevate REDAPL, Datadog’s referential data platform, enabling scalable ingestion, processing and querying of complex relationships. You will collaborate across teams to shape high-impact platform initiatives and ensure reliability at scale. You’ll lead architectural decisions and mentor engineers, addressing risk areas and driving improvements. • Build a query engine that enables efficient relationship traversals for high-demand workloads
• Contribute to and drive high-priority platform projects to boost value, resilience, and cross-team scalability
• Lead and mentor engineers through architectural decisions for the platform
• Identify systemic reliability risks and design solutions to mitigate them
• Contribute to short- and long-term engineering roadmaps and priorities
• Collaborate with internal product teams to align REDAPL growth with product needs

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience
• extensive work with multiple data stores
• several years in platform or infrastructure-focused environments
• strong backend engineering experience and operating distributed systems at high scale
