Senior Software Engineer, Supplier Platform (Remote)

Senior Software Engineer (Backend): Build and enhance backend services and data models for the supplier platform enabling restaurant partners to grow their business with an accent on relational data modeling, API design, and data visualization. Focus on designing scalable services, mentoring engineers, and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver high-quality software.

Location: Remote with optional hybrid work from Boston, MA office

Salary: $158,000–$190,000 annually

What you will do

• Lead design and development of services and features transforming the supplier platform and data model.
• Balance quality and speed while working on company-level priorities.
• Mentor developing engineers and promote engineering excellence.
• Collaborate closely with Data Engineering, Security, Product, Operations, and other teams.
• Build meaningful software in a collaborative environment.

Requirements

• Must have 5+ years of professional experience focused on backend development using Go, Ruby on Rails, Java, or similar languages.
• Experience designing and building relational data models and APIs.
• Quality mindset with automated testing, clean code, code reviews, and CI/CD basics.
• Practical experience with feature flags, telemetry, and safe rollout techniques.
• Collaborative approach to turning ambiguous problems into iterative, measurable outcomes.
