Senior Software Product Manager - Embedded & Real-Time Systems (Automotive)

Overview

As Senior Software Product Manager you own the low-level real-time software stack for next‑gen automotive processing, guiding roadmap and execution from silicon to system integration. You’ll collaborate across R&D, Applications, and Systems Engineering to enable SDV-ready bring-up, software quality, and scalable customer deployment. The role focuses on drivers, BSP, RTOS, security, and system management to deliver reliable, secure platforms. You will work with OEMs and Tier 1 partners to translate requirements into impactful features and drive execution across pre-silicon to deployment. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role shaping how software-defined vehicles come to life.

Verantwortungsbereiche
  • Define and own the product roadmap for low-level real-time software (drivers, BSP, RTOS, virtualization)
  • Oversee system management including boot, firmware services, and PMIC control
  • Own security features such as secure boot, crypto, and key management
  • Translate OEM/Tier 1 requirements into clear feature definitions and priorities
  • Manage trade-offs across timeline, quality, performance, safety, security, and scalability
  • Drive system bring-up and integration for boot, power sequencing, and peripheral enablement (CAN, LIN, DDR, PCIe, Ethernet)
  • Promote adoption of AI-assisted tools across the software lifecycle and enable AI-driven customer experiences
  • Ensure end-to-end platform readiness beyond feature delivery
  • Serve as the single owner bridging Software R&D, Applications Engineering, and Systems/Platform teams
  • Lead delivery across pre-silicon bring-up, NPI, and customer deployment and maintenance
  • Track system readiness, risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans
  • Engage with OEMs and Tier 1 partners to capture real-world requirements and drive design wins
  • Represent low-level software in customer discussions on bring-up, performance, safety, and security
Zentrale Anforderungen
  • 10+ years in embedded software, automotive systems, or related field
  • Strong background in low-level software (drivers, bootloaders, firmware, BSP)
  • Experience with AUTOSAR, RTOS, or Zephyr environments
  • Proven product management, technical leadership, or system architecture experience
  • Solid understanding of system bring-up and HW/SW integration challenges
