Who will you be working with

You will work for the Information Solutions product line in Wabtec, specializing in passenger information systems for long and short distance trains, trams and subways.

What you will do

• Drive end-to-end delivery of software projects for Wabtec’s Passenger Information Systems, ensuring alignment with customer requirements, business goals, technical standards, budget and deadlines
• Lead and motivate software development teams and facilitate communication between developers, testers, QA and other stakeholders
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee deliverables with internal teams and stakeholders
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation
• Ensure project budget and cost efficiency targets are met
• Manage project requirements, scope, and change management issues
• Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies and manage issues proactively
• Apply modern system and software development methods in the context of project management and further development of existing processes
• Participate in the negotiation of contracts, contract changes, specifications, milestone scheduling
• Build trusting customer relationships and ensure high customer satisfaction through regular, binding communication and presentation of project results

Qualifications

• Successfully completed degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience in software project management (3+ years preferred)
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g. MS Project, JIRA, etc.)
• Fluency in English and German, both written and spoken
