Senior Software Quality Engineer, Robotics (F/M/D)
THE OPPORTUNITY
Can you imagine diving into the development of the software and components that run our innovative mobile indoor mapping system, operated by companies in more than 25 countries worldwide?
Are you curious about working with embedded software as well as a great variety of release channels (embedded software, desktop software)? If you are equally eager to work with both – software and hardware, you might be the person for this challenge!
You will join the Mapping and Perception Team and collaborate closely with people from a diverse set of cultural and professional backgrounds, who share a passion for delivering top‑class mapping solutions that aim to digitize physical spaces through the creation of photorealistic digital twins.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Creating and developing state‑of‑the‑art software testing methodologies and processes which assure and advance the quality of our products
- Carrying out manual tests for software releases in both regular and explorative manner – including release of the software running on our devices, as well as the processing software running on Linux‑based desktop machines and our cloud‑based processing
- Planning, designing, specification and development of test strategies, test dashboards and reports to enable frequent releases of high quality
- Supporting the development team in high‑quality work and implementation of high‑quality tests
- Validating reported bugs systematically, performing data analysis and interpretation of test results
- Prioritizing, debugging and monitoring bugs to speed up the process in the middle of an energetic and fast‑paced product development team
- Reducing gaps by manual tests – and reducing manual tests by automating them
- Communication and collaboration with other people working on support and services
WHAT WILL HELP YOU SUCCEED IN THE ROLE
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience with test execution and quality assurance processes (test case planning, issue tracking, regression and isolation testing)
- Background in robotics, autonomous driving or similar
- Experience with Linux and its command line
- Knowledge in test automation using scripting languages (e.g. Python)
- A strong ability to communicate in a structured, concise and clear manner will be pivotal in ensuring seamless cross‑functional collaboration
- Curiosity and willingness to learn and work with embedded software as well as a great variety of release channels (embedded software, desktop software, cloud applications)
- Fluency in English
