Senior Software Validation Engineer (F/M/D)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and define test strategy, approach, and planning aligned with project and system requirements.
• Perform detailed analysis of system requirements (SRS, TSR/FSR) and review existing test cases for coverage and gaps.
• Design, develop, and update test cases based on system requirements and functional specifications.
• Establish and maintain traceability between test cases and system requirements (RTM) to ensure complete coverage.
• Develop and execute test scripts for HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) testing environments.
• Conduct test execution using industry tools such as Vector CANoe and CANalyzer for network simulation, diagnostics, and analysis.
• Monitor test progress, identify defects, and ensure proper defect tracking and resolution.
• Generate comprehensive test reports , including test results, defect analysis, and coverage metrics.
• Perform analysis of test results and reports to identify trends, risks, and improvement areas.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, system engineering, validation teams) to ensure quality delivery.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, processes, and automotive compliance guidelines (if applicable).

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC) and testing methodologies.
• Expertise in test strategy creation, planning, and execution .
• Hands-on experience in requirement analysis (SRS, TSR/FSR) and test case design techniques.
• Experience with HIL testing and test automation frameworks .
• Proficiency in Vector tools (CANoe, CANalyzer) for simulation, testing, and network analysis.
• Strong knowledge of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN (FlexRay/Ethernet is an added advantage).
• Experience in traceability management (RTM) and test coverage analysis.
• Ability to perform test execution, defect management, and root cause analysis .
• Strong analytical skills for test report generation and interpretation .
• Familiarity with tools like DOORS, JIRA, or similar requirement/defect management systems (preferred).
• Good understanding of embedded systems and control systems .
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with global teams.
