Senior Solutions Architect, WWPS Global Defence Partners

In this role you shape and lead technical strategy for defence-partner cloud adoption and modernization on AWS. You work closely with executive stakeholders to translate objectives into concrete AWS-native architectures and modernization roadmaps. You own end-to-end solution design across AI/ML, HPC, and data platforms, with a focus on mission-critical environments and compliance. You contribute as a trusted advisor, sharing best practices and guiding multiple concurrent engagements toward AWS as the preferred platform.

• Lead technical strategy and architecture for defence-sector partners undergoing cloud adoption, modernization, and digital transformation
• Own end-to-end solution architecture across AI/ML, HPC, digital engineering, advanced manufacturing systems, and data platforms on AWS
• Serve as a trusted advisor at the executive level, translating business objectives into AWS-native architectures with clear modernization roadmaps
• Bring defence industry expertise to engagements, including mission-critical workflows, compliance frameworks, and operational constraints
• Provide thought leadership and capture best-practice knowledge within the AWS Solutions Architect community
• Drive architectural decisions across multiple concurrent partner engagements, ensuring AWS is positioned as the strategic platform of choice

• 8+ years of experience in technology domains (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics)
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures
• Experience communicating with technical and non-technical audiences, including executive stakeholders
• 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking (preferred)
• Experience in a technical role within a sales organization (preferred)
• Knowledge of security and compliance standards including HIPAA and GDPR (preferred)
• Experience with AI/ML, HPC, digital engineering, advanced manufacturing, or data engineering workloads on AWS (preferred)
• German national and ability to obtain German Security Clearance
