Overview

As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you will partner with customers to tailor Akamai solutions to their business needs and drive new revenue. You will act as a trusted technical advisor, collaborating with engineering and business teams to design, demonstrate, and deliver innovative internet solutions. Your role includes engaging with customers through the sales cycle, capturing requirements, and proposing concepts that showcase value. You will work across cross-functional teams, presenting complex ideas to diverse audiences in German and English, and contribute to shaping the future of the internet.

Verantwortungsbereiche

Lead revenue growth by evangelizing Akamai technology to current and prospective customers
Engage with customers during the sales cycle to gather requirements and develop proposals, designs, demonstrations, and proofs of concept
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to strengthen relationships and serve as the go-to person for technical inquiries
Support and advise cross-functional teams to ensure customers receive appropriate updates, upgrades, and event-driven solutions
Present technical topics to diverse audiences
Work closely with engineering and business teams to become a subject matter expert

Zentrale Anforderungen

Knowledge of cloud and internet technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, and web architecture
Interest in internet technologies and security solutions such as WAF, DDoS protection, Bots, and Zero Trust
Experience presenting technical topics to varied audiences
Strong teamwork, collaboration, prioritization, and problem-solving in a fast-changing environment
Fluency in German and English
