Senior Specialist – Process Automation, Market Processes in the Energy Sector

Responsibilities

• You support the operational management of our balancing group management for electricity and gas and coordinate communication with market partners, service providers and internal teams.
• You monitor and coordinate clearing processes with grid operators and help systematically identify and resolve data discrepancies.
• You identify opportunities to improve existing processes and collaborate with Data, Tech and Operations teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• You contribute to energy‑sector projects related to balancing, market communication and forecasting.

Requirements

• You hold a degree or an equivalent qualification with a focus on energy economics, business/economics, or analytics.
• Initial experience in the energy sector is an advantage.
• Knowledge of market communication (e.g., GPKE, GeLi Gas or MaBiS) is a plus but not required.
• You work in a structured, self‑directed and solution‑oriented manner.
• You enjoy understanding and further developing complex energy‑sector processes.
• You have a strong affinity for data, processes and operational workflows.
• You communicate confidently in German and English and enjoy working with diverse stakeholders.
