Senior Specialist Product Quality (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

• Ownership of the Project Quality Lead (QL) role throughout the entire product development process for the assigned Business Unit
• Definition, planning, and monitoring of quality requirements in close collaboration with Product Management, Engineering, Compliance, Manufacturing, and international suppliers
• Management and continuous improvement of all quality activities across the entire product lifecycle – from concept and development phases through series production, distribution, and post‑market surveillance
• Facilitation of risk analyses and assessments, particularly Design FMEAs and other quality and risk management methodologies
• Ensuring timely implementation and follow‑up of all quality‑related actions within the product development process
• Coordination of quality‑related topics with interdisciplinary project teams, international stakeholders, and manufacturing partners, particularly in Asia
• Execution of prototype quality assessments and preparation of comprehensive evaluation and review reports
• Review of Process FMEAs and support of supplier production approval and series production ramp‑up
• Evaluation of product qualifications and validation results against defined quality requirements, regulatory requirements, and applicable standards
• Monitoring the quality status of development projects and providing regular reporting on quality KPIs, project milestones, development gates, and progress of the Quality Roadmap
• Driving continuous improvement activities through the application of structured problem‑solving methods and preventive quality tools

Qualifications

• Completed degree in Engineering or a comparable technical discipline
• Several years of professional experience in Quality Management within product development, ideally in consumer goods, juvenile products, or a comparable manufacturing environment
• Strong practical experience with structured problem‑solving methodologies such as 8D, QRQC, PPS, or similar approaches
• Excellent knowledge of quality and risk management methods, particularly Design and Process FMEA, HARA, and Root Cause Analysis
• Good understanding of product development processes, Supplier Quality Management, and manufacturing operations
• Experience working in international and cross‑functional project teams
• Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and high intercultural awareness
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead and influence without direct disciplinary responsibility
• Structured, analytical, and solution‑oriented mindset with a strong quality focus and high attention to detail
• Ability to translate complex technical topics into clear, understandable, and actionable recommendations
• Confident presence with excellent presentation, reporting, and documentation skills
• High level of ownership, initiative, and execution capability
• Excellent written and spoken English skills; German language skills are an advantage but not a requirement
• Willingness to travel internationally
