Senior Specialist, Research and Data Services

In this senior specialist role, you deliver desktop research and data services to Bain’s practice areas and project teams. You manage your own deliverables with limited oversight, contribute to knowledge-building, and support research planning and execution. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to tailor research and improve processes. This position emphasizes continuous asset-building, training, and research enablement within a global consultancy.

• Provide desktop research and data services to consulting, expert delivery, and practice teams; support research planning and execution and capture of research experience
• Develop affiliation knowledge in Bain practice areas and leverage specialized research resources
• Deliver on short- to medium-term projects as an independent contributor with limited supervision
• Participate in product and service evaluations and asset development, including implementation
• Conduct research using local, regional, and global data sources and apply them to client-focused needs
• Engage with internal stakeholders to understand context and information needs and solicit feedback
• Process orders and acquisitions, catalog assets, and maintain end-user systems and collections
• Lead or contribute to training, knowledge sharing, and implementation of process/tool improvements
• Support marketing efforts for Research and Data Services
• Potentially lead small initiatives and coach junior colleagues

• 3–5 years of business research experience in a fast-paced consulting, market research, or professional services environment
• Experience with research databases such as Factiva, LSEG/Refinitiv, S&P CapitalIQ
• Proven ability to work with diverse stakeholders and cross-cultural teams
• Proactive initiative-taking to improve efficiency
• Training and presentation skills
• Degree in Information Science or Business or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Fluent written and spoken English and native language
