Senior Staff Engineer Applications Engineering (f/m/div)

Your Role

As a Senior Staff Engineer Applications Engineering on our Customer Collaboration and Technical Marketing team work hand‑in‑hand with our customers, enabling them to transform our products into cutting‑edge designs, all while building long‑lasting partnerships that thrive on success.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Support for software running on Ethernet Switch / PHY / Bridge systems in leading edge Automotive Applications
• Technical Support for hardware development of Ethernet Switch / PHY / Bridge systems in leading edge Automotive Applications
• Creation of application notes to simplify and fasten the application development of our customers
• Definition and execution of trainings for customer and other Infineon teams
• Cooperation with the Marketing and Sales team to follow up on product roadmaps
• Effective information exchange with the development teams at Infineon locations worldwide
• Supporting the git lab and lab working environment in Ettlingen
• Develop and showcase demos for tradeshows around the world to showcase Ethernet Switch / PHY / Bridge capabilities

Your Profile

• 7+ years industry experience in automotive embedded systems application engineering or equivalent
• Graduate technical background in computer science or electronic engineering or equivalent
• Knowledge of embedded System‑on‑Chip Technologies
• Knowledge of Ethernet Switches and Automotive Ethernet
• Proficient knowledge of C and C++
• Experience working with network protocols like TCP/IP, SomeIP, DoIP, UDP, PTP, MKA
• Python or similar scripting language skills
• Experience analyzing network tracer (PCAP/TCEMP, etc)
• Linux platforms experience including low‑level driver, kernel and user‑space components
• Communication and presentation skills, creativity and team spirit
• Creative and structured approach to problem solving and issue debugging
• Working experience in some of the following topics is welcome, but not mandatory
• Embedded OS (Android, Integrity, QNX or other operating systems)
• AUTOSAR / MCAL
• Good English language skills and German language skill is welcome but not mandatory
