Senior Staff Product Definition Engineer Ethernet PHY

In this role, you shape the Ethernet PHY product line from concept to market, aligning market needs with differentiated semiconductor solutions. You will influence roadmaps, guide cross-functional teams, and lead customer engagements to drive adoption and business growth. You’ll evaluate technologies, perform trade-offs, and define architectures that meet performance, cost, safety, and security goals. • Shape and guide product development from concept through market introduction
• Own and influence product roadmap development across multiple product generations
• Lead CRS collection/analysis and translate to PRS with R&D
• Represent the company at customer workshops, industry forums, and conferences
• Drive alignment across Marketing, Applications, Design, Systems Engineering, Project Management, Quality, and Operations
• Lead competitive analysis, market assessment, and technology benchmarking
• Drive technical evaluations and trade-offs across architecture, performance, cost, reliability, safety, security, and scalability
• Provide technical leadership during product introduction, customer qualification, design-in, and launch activities

• Bachelor-grade or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Communications Engineering, or related field
• 12+ years of relevant industry experience in semiconductor-related roles
• Proven experience in Product Definition, Systems Engineering, Technical Marketing, Application Engineering, or Product Management
• Deep knowledge of Ethernet networking standards and architectures, including IEEE 802.3, SPE, TSN, MACsec, and Ethernet PHYs
• System modeling experience using Matlab/Simulink or comparable tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for complex trade-offs
• Excellent verbal and written communication and ability to influence diverse stakeholders across globals teams
