Senior Staff Technology Manager/Architect - Functional Safety (f/m/d)

As Technology Manager/Architect, you will define the industrial functional safety technology strategy and architecture to meet market and customer needs. You will advance modular, scalable, and certifiable software platforms and translate requirements into a clear technical roadmap. You will collaborate with safety stakeholders, engage with authorities on compliance, and guide cross-functional teams from architecture to customer enablement. You will track standards and market trends to sustain Renesas’ leadership while representing the company in ecosystem discussions.

• Define software strategy and architecture for industrial functional safety solutions
• Advance modular, scalable, and certifiable software platforms
• Translate customer and market needs into technical roadmaps and value propositions
• Collaborate with functional safety stakeholders to define cross-platform strategy and architecture
• Engage with certification authorities to align architecture and compliance strategy
• Guide development teams from architecture through implementation and enablement

• Represent Renesas in strategic discussions with customers, partners, and standards bodies

• M.Sc in Electrical/Electronic engineering with software development expertise
• Deep knowledge of industrial functional safety standards (IEC/EN 61508, IEC 61800-5-2, IEC 62061, ISO 10218-1) and related standards
• Strong expertise in functional safety application design for industrial automation and robotics
• Proven track record translating technical and market requirements into technology strategies and implementations
• Openness to explore new technologies and markets for implementation recommendations
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Excellent customer focus and communication skills
• Familiarity with industrial automation tech such as industrial networking, functional safety, security
