(Senior) Store Development Manager (m/f/d)
Your new job includes
As a (Senior) Store Development Manager (m/f/d), you’ll help translate our retail strategy into compelling, scalable, and measurable store experiences—from store and floor space concepts to digital in-store tools and engagement initiatives throughout the customer journey.
In particular, you will
- conceptually develop, evaluate, and continuously refine retail and store concepts, as well as associated implementation and space standards
- provide technical support for store planning in tender projects, renovations, and new construction, taking into account regional, market-specific, and location-based requirements
- collaborate on the further development of category concepts, pilot new retail elements and engaging store initiatives, and translate successful approaches into scalable standards for different markets, locations, and store formats
- analyze store performance, relevant customer, market, and trend data, and identify opportunities for optimization regarding floor space, concepts, and activations
- provide technical leadership for cross-functional projects, collaborating closely with store locations, Sales, Commercial, Design, Merchandising, and external partners
- plan and implement engaging store initiatives to enhance the customer experience and boost store performance
- oversee digital in-store tools and experience elements—from requirements definition through pilot testing to further development—and support their successful implementation in the store environment
What you should bring along
- A bachelor’s degree in business, design, or a retail-related field, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of experience in store development, retail concept development, store planning, visual merchandising, category management, or a comparable retail environment
- A strong understanding of space planning, layout design, and store experience planning, as well as the ability to translate strategic requirements into actionable concepts and standards
- An analytical, structured, and conceptual approach to work, combined with strong execution skills, a high attention to detail, and a hands‑on mindset
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, as well as experience in the professional management of cross‑functional projects involving internal and external stakeholders
- A keen sense of customer needs, market trends, and commercial dynamics, as well as business‑level proficiency in German and English
