Senior Strategic FP&A Lead | High-Growth FinTech | Berlin (Hybrid)

€100,000-€130,000 plus bonus

I'm working with a high-growth FinTech business that is continuing to scale across Europe and build out its strategic finance capabilities. As the organisation enters its next phase of growth, they are looking to hire a Senior Strategic FP&A professional to play a key role in supporting executive decision-making, capital allocation, commercial analysis, and long-term planning.

This is a highly visible individual contributor role, partnering closely with senior leadership across Finance, Product, Commercial, and Operations. The successful candidate will combine exceptional analytical capabilities with strong commercial acumen, helping the business navigate growth through insight-driven financial planning and modelling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Modelling: Own and enhance the company's core financial model, integrating P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, operational KPIs, and scenario planning.
• Strategic Analysis: Develop bespoke financial models to support investment decisions, market expansion opportunities, pricing initiatives, fundraising activity, and strategic projects.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead forecasting and planning processes, ensuring robust and scalable revenue, headcount, and operational expenditure models.
• Scenario Planning: Deliver sensitivity analysis and strategic planning outputs to support executive decision-making and capital allocation.
• Business Partnering: Partner with senior stakeholders across commercial, product, technology, and operational functions to provide data-driven insights and challenge assumptions constructively.
• Cohort & Unit Economics Analysis: Build and maintain models around customer behaviour, retention, profitability, LTV/CAC, payback periods, and contribution margins.
• Performance Insights: Analyse profitability across products, customer segments, and markets, translating findings into actionable recommendations for leadership.
• Process Improvement: Continuously improve FP&A processes, modelling infrastructure, reporting quality, and planning capabilities.

What We're Looking For:

• 4+ years' experience within FP&A, Strategic Finance, Transaction Services, Investment Banking, Consulting, or a similar analytical finance role.
• Strong experience within a high-growth FinTech, Payments, SaaS, Technology, or broader scaling business environment.
• Exceptional financial modelling skills, including integrated three-statement models, scenario planning, and strategic analysis.
• Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
• Strong understanding of business performance drivers, unit economics, and commercial finance principles.
• Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to senior non-finance stakeholders.
• Highly analytical, commercially minded, and naturally curious, with a proactive approach to solving business problems.
• Experience working with large datasets and financial planning tools would be advantageous.
