Senior Structural Engineer, Building Physicist

Overview

You take product responsibility for our wall assemblies — from the structural concrete core to the finished exterior façade. You develop economical, standards-compliant and scalable wall assemblies (insulation, layer composition, system integration). You optimize wall geometries with respect to material use, building physics, costs, reduction of GWP and construction process. You evaluate new insulation systems, materials and hybrid construction methods. You work closely with project execution and support project acquisition and implementation. You act as a technical sparring partner for our printing teams and ensure that all further developments of the wall system are implemented pragmatically and become directly visible on our construction sites. You manage multiple parallel projects with external clients and development partners. You independently lead these projects at senior level to completion — technically, on schedule and economically. You systematically transfer practical experience into the ongoing development of our construction system. You think of the wall not as a detail but as a scalable product.

Requirements

• Degree in building physics, civil engineering, architecture or a comparable qualification
• At least 5 years of professional experience, ideally in residential construction
• Doer mentality: take responsibility, make decisions and deliver results
• Excellent understanding of thermal protection, wall and insulation systems and construction site processes
• Strong technical aptitude for assessing complex building-technical issues
• Ability to consider wall solutions not only technically but as economically viable and scalable products
• Solid understanding of environmental assessment metrics in construction (e.g., GWP, CO₂ footprint, life-cycle assessment)
• Strategic and commercial thinking with a clear focus on cost, efficiency and feasibility
• Interest in innovative construction methods and automation
• Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
