Senior System Software Engineer

In this role you will help strengthen NVIDIA's globally distributed auth and storage systems by building and evolving microservices. You will work within a backend team to design distributed systems, implement authentication/authorization services, and support API customers. You’ll improve tests, review code, and contribute to performance and reliability. This position offers engagement with cutting-edge tech across microservices, cloud deployments, and secure data handling, in a high-impact domain.

• Design and contribute to the architecture of distributed backend systems
• Maintain and enhance authentication and authorization microservices; develop new ones (OCaml/Rust)
• Provide technical support for APIs and client use cases
• Improve unit and integration tests coverage

• Degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of experience in system programming
• Linux programming and debugging proficiency
• Deep understanding of HTTP/REST or HTTP-based RPCs (e.g., Twirp, gRPC)
• Experience with multi-threaded and asynchronous networking (NodeJS, Akka, Tornado, Erlang/OTP, Rust/Tower)
• Strong habit to verify and document work
• Knowledge of deployment and networking in Kubernetes
