Senior Technical Project Manager is a hybrid role encompassing both technical know-how and leadership. The role will plan, schedule, and manage embedded system projects and potentially lead a team.

Typical day

• Design and engineering of Passenger Information Systems or Video Protection Systems, including documentation.
• Technical project management from bid phase to commissioning support.
• Project coordination with commercial project manager and customer.
• Internal coordination with hardware and software development, system integration, and testing teams.
• Coordination with key suppliers.
• Managing the project’s budget.
• Providing bid and presales support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in embedded systems, electrical engineering, computer science, or related field.
• Experience with embedded systems.
• Experience in hardware and/or software development.
• Knowledge of embedded hardware architectures and digital electronics.
• Familiarity with the embedded Linux environment.
• Understanding of IP/Ethernet networks.
• Fluency in English and German (French is considered an asset).
• Experience in the rail industry is an asset.
• Experience as a project manager is an asset.
• Self-motivated and independent personality.
• Availability to travel.
• Occasional travel within Germany, France, and internationally.
