Senior Test Automation Engineer

You will drive automated testing efforts for Ambu’s medical software products, shaping a scalable regression framework. As a senior contributor, you mentor colleagues, align cross-team strategies, and advance best practices in test automation. The role blends hands-on test development with technical leadership within a collaborative, international team. You’ll improve coverage and reliability across the software stack while ensuring regulatory compliance and high software quality. • Strengthen automated testing capabilities and contribute to automated regression development
• Drive a unified test automation program across products and teams
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated regression tests for software-driven medical devices
• Improve test automation practices, coverage, and reliability
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship on automated testing
• Review automation implementations and promote best practices
• Support test planning, execution, defect investigation, and root-cause analysis
• Collaborate with Software Development and Test & Verification teams to ensure coverage of new functionality
• Work with international teams to improve frameworks, tooling, and testing approaches
• Contribute to test environments, tools, and automation practices
• Support software verification across the development lifecycle
• Generate verification evidence and documentation for regulatory compliance
• Facilitate team activities like planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and knowledge-sharing
• Engage with Product Owner and team to promote transparency and efficient delivery

• Software test automation experience
• Experience developing automated tests using Python, C#, JavaScript, or similar languages
• Experience with automated regression testing
• Experience with CI/CD-based test execution
• Experience as a senior technical contributor or mentor in software testing or automation
• Agile experience
• Ability to drive technical decisions and influence teams
• Strong technical mindset and end-to-end systems understanding
• Strong communication and stakeholder management

• Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
