Overview

In this role you will own a high-impact P&C reinsurance treaty portfolio for the German market, selecting top-tier clients and driving portfolio performance. You will combine origination, client management, and underwriting excellence to deepen executive-level relationships and shape Swiss Re’s market strategy. You will tackle complex underwriting decisions, market intelligence, and cross-functional collaboration to design tailored reinsurance solutions. Verantwortungsbereiche

End-to-end underwriting: risk selection, costing, contract review, and structuring with data-driven support
Client relationship management: build and sustain long-term partnerships with clients and brokers across levels
Portfolio growth: identify new opportunities within the portfolio with specialists
Market intelligence: monitor competitors, trends, and market dynamics to stay ahead
Account accountability: own assigned accounts and adhere to underwriting guidelines

Zentrale Anforderungen

Minimum 5 years in insurance or reinsurance underwriting, portfolio management, and/or client management
Native-level German and professional English proficiency
Strong technical underwriting skills including contractual knowledge, risk assessment, and portfolio steering
Analytical capability with ability to synthesize data and strategic view
High affinity for technology and data analytics to support decisions
Proven client management skills with the ability to build trusted relationships
Willingness to travel ~20% of time
