Senior UX Researcher - (Logistics, Rider)

Job Description

We are on the lookout for Senior UX Researcher – Logistics, Rider to join our Logistics product teams to create a seamless experience for our riders. Logistics is the engine that ensures orders get to restaurants and food to customers, bringing hot, delicious meals to customers in the fastest possible way. We build mobile apps and products for riders, vendors, internal product users, dispatchers, planners, and support teams. To do this well, we need to understand their needs – globally!

You will be part of a young UX research team and have a great chance to apply different research methods for projects ranging from discovery/generative to strategic/tactical at various stages of the product development process. You will influence product direction and roadmaps with your findings, drive understanding and empathy with our users across product teams, and tackle high‑impact challenges that make last‑mile delivery efficient, affordable, and sustainable. Your work will directly improve experiences for riders, end customers, and merchants worldwide, contributing to Delivery Hero’s expansion into new areas such as grocery and retail.

Responsibilities

  • Autonomously manage and run multiple global research projects in parallel, ranging from discovery to tactical, using triangulation of mixed methods.
  • Drive and contribute to the evolution of a user‑centred culture by studying user behaviour, attitudes, and cognitions globally; initiate and run foundational research projects to clarify ambiguous problem spaces.
  • Lead and support prioritization of research projects by evaluating user and business value, effort, and product phase.
  • Build and drive the research roadmap in an agile context by collaborating with stakeholders and cross‑functional teams; produce actionable research insights and communicate proactively with various audiences.
  • Mentor and support less senior UX researchers, product designers, and product owners to grow their UX research skills.
  • Participate in developing new or extending existing research methods, operations, and processes.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in UX research, product research, or applied research.
  • Ability to independently define research goals and questions, select appropriate methods and sampling, manage recruitment, execute studies, and synthesize data to generate actionable insights. Extensive knowledge of a broad spectrum of UX research methodologies.
  • Excellent planning, prioritization, and time‑management skills to deliver high‑value research in a fast‑changing environment and meet deadlines.
  • Experience as the primary investigator across the full product lifecycle; self‑driven and an enthusiastic team player with a strong understanding of how to connect research outputs to product roadmaps and business strategy to generate impact.
  • Passionate about mentoring, enabling, and supporting non‑field experts to conduct research and moderate sessions.
  • Great interpersonal, communication, collaboration, and presentation skills. Fluency in English required.
