Job Description

Global Liquidity Operations (GLO) is part of the Payments Operations Service Delivery Group within BNY's Payments Enablement Platform. The role is located in Frankfurt and is responsible for managing the overall funding positions of the Company’s various legal entities in multiple global currencies as part of a “follow the sun” model. The Frankfurt-based liquidity team focuses on liquidity management of BNY’s direct connections to T2 and TIPS, facilitating EUR currency payment flows and associated governance. The successful candidate will oversee day‑to‑day operations of the Frankfurt team, contribute to the development and implementation of the Global Liquidity Operations strategy, identify opportunities for process improvement and automation, and actively engage in incident management while coordinating with other global locations.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a robust control environment aligned to the Company’s risk management framework.
• Embed a risk culture through a robust control framework focused on risk reduction and mitigation.
• Act as Liquidity Operations point of contact for strategically significant initiatives, change programmes and regulatory / market driven projects.
• Act as delegate for Head of Global Liquidity Operations as required.
• Build and nourish meaningful relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally.
• Point of escalation for issues from team members.
• Evaluate processes and operating model on an ongoing basis.
• Effectively manage and develop a team.
• Contribute to creation of targets and goals against which to monitor performance.
• Invest in developing talent by providing training and development opportunities to staff and promote succession pipeline while embedding diversity in all forms within the teams.
• Contribute to the achievement of team objectives.
• Involvement in Frankfurt Branch Legal Entity specific administrative tasks, like local audits and regulatory requirements with Operations focus.
• Turn data into compelling narratives that mobilize action.

• Use AI to expand capacity.
• Coach with humility; grow talent through targeted development and actionable feedback.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5‑7 years’ experience within Operations / Banking.
• Experience of liquidity management would be preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels of the Company.
• Ability to think laterally to resolve issues.
• Detail driven and results oriented.
• Able to work in a time sensitive and pressured environment.
• Self‑driven and proactive.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines, and to multi‑task and manage multiple priorities.
