Senior/Principal AI Systems Engineer

As Principal AI Systems Engineer, you will architect and scale multi-tier AI agent systems spanning on-device, near-device, and cloud environments. You lead research-to-production efforts, shaping novel agent behaviors and runtimes while mentoring a high-caliber team. You collaborate with product teams to translate breakthroughs into robust capabilities, driving performance and efficiency across heterogeneous compute. • Architect hybrid agent systems across on-device, near-device, and cloud environments
• Lead multi-tier intelligence strategy for where to run components (LLM, vision, speech, planning, memory)
• Build scalable agent runtimes coordinating models, sensors, memory, and decision loops
• Drive performance optimizations across CPU/GPU/NPU/cloud for latency, throughput, and energy efficiency
• Translate research into production agents by evaluating models and converting them into robust behaviors
• Mentor and grow the engineering team in inference, agent logic, distributed systems, and hardware-aware optimization

• Advanced academic background in Computer Science or related fields with strong systems or ML foundations
• Deep experience building and integrating inference pipelines into production systems
• Expertise in designing planning loops, memory subsystems, tool-use interfaces, and multi-step reasoning pipelines
• Strong knowledge of CPU/GPU/NPU pipelines, memory hierarchies, and low-level optimization on PC-class hardware
• Fluent technical communication in English to engineers, product teams, and leadership
