Overview

In this role you lead collaboration with European utilities, researchers, and customers to advance grid integration and power system simulation. You will drive RMS/EMT studies, validate models, and contribute to technology roadmaps for inverter-based resources. The position combines hands-on simulations with strategic planning in a global, innovation-driven environment. You’ll work on high-impact projects across PV, BESS, wind, and industrial applications, shaping future grid technologies.

Verantwortungsbereiche

Lead technical collaboration with utilities, TSOs/DSOs, customers, universities, and research institutes
Support grid integration projects involving PV, BESS, wind, and inverter-based resources
Lead advanced RMS and EMT simulation studies for grid stability and system-level risks
Conduct pre-research on emerging simulation technologies (wide-area EMT, automated stability assessment, RMS/EMT hybrid)
Develop grid integration methodologies (model validation, stability assessment, risk identification)
Track European grid requirements and contribute to technology roadmaps

Zentrale Anforderungen

Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Power Electronics, or related field
Strong background in power system dynamics, stability, and inverter-based resources
Hands-on experience with PSCAD, PowerFactory, PSSE, or EMTP
Experience in large-scale grid connection, renewable integration, or system stability projects
Experience or good understanding of real-time and HiL simulation (CHiL/PHIL) – advantageous
Experience working with utilities, customers, universities, or research institutes
Excellent English communication skills and ability to work internationally
Experience in grid-forming technology, wide-area EMT, European grid codes, or participation in CIGRE/IEEE/IEC is advantageous
