Overview

In this role you drive AI-assisted design for next‑gen power converters, combining deep learning with power electronics to optimize components and control schemes. You will collaborate with a local team to remove bottlenecks and boost high‑density power supply performance, and lead European R&D partnerships and external collaborations. You’ll scan global trends at the intersection of power electronics and AI to craft roadmaps for future power supplies, making a tangible impact on Huawei’s Digital Power initiatives.

Verantwortungsbereiche
  • Pioneer AI-assisted design methods for next-gen power converters and optimize architectures with ML frameworks
  • Collaborate with local engineers to resolve critical bottlenecks and enhance high-density power supply performance via AI-driven modeling
  • Expand and lead European technical ecosystem through partnerships and collaborations with universities and research institutes
  • Assess emerging trends in power electronics and AI to identify high-impact technologies for internal adoption
  • Deliver technology insights and shape AI-powered roadmaps for long-term development of power supplies
Zentrale Anforderungen
  • Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields
  • Proven R&D track record in training and deploying deep learning/ML models (PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX or equivalent)
  • Experience with advanced architectures (Transformers, CNNs, RNNs/LSTMs, GNNs, PINNs) applied to system modeling, optimization, simulation
  • Solid knowledge in power electronics R&D with capability to apply advanced magnetics, digital control strategies, and novel circuit topologies
  • Demonstrated technical footprint via patents, publications (IEEE, APEC, PCIM, NeurIPS) or open-source models/code
  • Professional fluency in English including strong technical documentation and presentation skills
