Senior/Principle Engineer - DC-DC Converter Power Electronics

As a Senior/Principal Engineer, you will advance DC-DC converter technology within Huawei's Ohm Research Center, shaping high-frequency, high-efficiency power solutions for data centers, PV/battery storage, EVs, and embedded systems. You will collaborate across academia and industry in Europe, drive topology and control innovations, and contribute to patents and technical reporting. This role combines deep R&D with strategic impact on Huawei Digital Power products and architectures.

• Select and optimize power topologies based on requirements
• Develop simulation models to estimate losses in compact modules
• Propose new concepts and patents for DC-DC converters
• Focus on power topologies, magnetic components, and control schemes
• Design advanced control and modulation schemes for DC-DC converters
• Produce insight reports on topologies, control, and magnetics
• Perform feasibility analysis of new cutting-edge DC-DC concepts
• Build and maintain cooperation with European industrial institutions and universities in Europe

• Ph.D. in Power Electronics (or related field) with 2+ years post-graduate R&D in low voltage power domain or M.Sc. with 10+ years advanced R&D experience
• Proven R&D track record with granted patents, peer-reviewed publications, or widely-adopted open-source projects
• Demonstrated experience in compact low-voltage (<100V), high-frequency (MHz), high-efficiency (>95%), high-current (>100A), high power density power delivery solutions
• Deep expertise in multi-stage power supply design, including advanced topologies, digital/analog control loops, integrated/planar magnetics, and advanced packaging techniques
• Professional fluency in English with strong technical documentation and presentation skills
