Service Operations Manager Infrastructure (w/m/d) People Mover Airport Frankfurt

At Frankfurt Airport we manage the operation and maintenance of the new Sky Line people mover system, a fully automated elevated railway capable of transporting up to 4,000 passengers per hour between terminal gates.

What do you contribute?

• Oversee planned and unplanned maintenance activities, spare parts management, and technical enhancements for all infrastructure subsystems.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, and EHS standards.
• Provide disciplinary and functional leadership to the maintenance team, support employee development, and foster continuous capability growth.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies, policies, standards, and processes with continuous improvement.
• Manage resources and finances within the area, including workforce planning, budgeting, logistics, and cost optimisation.
• Develop reporting structures and performance metrics to monitor and manage all operational processes.

What you bring along?

• University degree in a technical field (e.g., Engineering) or comparable qualification.
• Several years of experience in the maintenance of railway systems, infrastructure, or comparable technical assets.
• Leadership experience in a maintenance or asset‑management environment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional nighttime maintenance.
• High level of personal responsibility, strong customer focus, and pragmatic, hands‑on approach.
• Very good written and spoken English skills; German is an advantage.
