Overview

On behalf of our client, a medium‑sized company specialising in measurement and environmental technology based in 76571 Gaggenau, we are looking for a dispatch clerk (m/f/d) as part of a temporary employment arrangement.

Responsibilities

Professional and independent handling of domestic and international shipments, including timely coordination of all dispatch dates.
Obtaining freight quotations from designated freight forwarders to optimise transport processes.
Preparation of all country‑specific export documents, strictly adhering to current customs legislation and regulations.
Commissioning logistics service providers in good time to ensure smooth running of the logistics chain.
Swift and solution‑oriented handling of complaints from discerning customers.
Assistance with resolution of claims with insurance companies and careful verification of incoming freight invoices.
Receiving and checking incoming goods, loading and unloading using a forklift truck.

Qualifications

Completed a commercial apprenticeship as a freight forwarding and logistics services clerk (m/f/d), a wholesale and foreign trade clerk (m/f/d) or an industrial clerk (m/f/d).
Several years of solid professional experience in all aspects of import and export processing.
Valid forklift licence.
Proficiency in Atlas, MS Office and ERP systems such as SAP R3.
Excellent written and spoken German at native‑speaker level, good command of English for international contacts.
Strong communication skills, assertiveness, teamwork skills, commitment to the role, resilience and flexibility, analytical, conceptual and structured approach.
Valid work permit and permanent residence in Germany.
