Role

For our store at Dortmund Airport, we are looking for a full-time permanent Shop Manager (m/f/d)!

Your new job includes

As part of a family-owned company group, we inspire international travelers at Dortmund Airport with a passion for premium products, extensive expertise, and an authentic approach that makes the difference.

With your strong understanding of people, customers, and commercial operations, you will ensure the smooth running of our store while continuously driving its development and success.

In particular, you will:

• lead, motivate, and develop your team, taking full responsibility for recruitment, workforce planning, and employee development
• manage all daily store operations, ensuring optimal merchandise presentation, efficient use of sales space, and effective inventory management
• plan, conduct, and evaluate stocktakes while overseeing and continuously improving the ERP system
• analyze business performance indicators, manage budgets and sales targets, and implement measures to achieve business objectives
• develop and execute location-specific retail strategies while optimizing processes and structures to support the sustainable growth of the store
• act as the key point of contact for airport operators, authorities, business partners, and customers, fostering strong and collaborative relationships

What you should bring along

• Completed commercial vocational training or a degree in Retail, Business Administration, or a comparable field
• Several years of professional experience in Retail, Travel Retail, or a similar environment, combined with solid leadership experience
• Strong understanding of retail KPIs and proven experience in analyzing and managing business performance
• Confident user of ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and standard Microsoft Office applications
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured, independent, and proactive working style
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a confident presence, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
• Very good written and spoken German and English skills; additional language skills are an advantage
