Site Reliability Engineering Lead (f/m/d)

As a Platform Engineering and SRE leader at Sonar, you will steer Cloud Operations for SonarQube Cloud and Server, driving reliability, performance and security. You’ll lead a team of Cloud and SRE engineers, shaping the production platform to support a large user base while aligning with governance and cost goals. You’ll work cross-functionally to reduce toil through automation and champion blameless post-mortems. This role offers impact at scale in a fast-paced AI software company.

• Lead and manage a team of Cloud Engineers and Site Reliability Engineers, providing guidance and mentorship
• Uphold high engineering standards focusing on reliability, performance, and security
• Oversee on-call health, incident response, and automation to reduce manual toil
• Foster a feedback-driven culture with blameless post-mortems and architectural insights
• Collaborate with value stream squads to meet developers' needs while ensuring governance
• Define and communicate a squad vision aligned with platform roadmap emphasizing resiliency and cost optimization
• Partner with Hiring to recruit engineers and improve the hiring process
• Lead by example with servant leadership and decisive, high-stakes decision making

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with emphasis on SRE, Cloud Operations, or Infrastructure Engineering
• Operational mindset with experience managing mission-critical shared services (e.g., Aurora DBs, OpenSearch)
• Advanced AWS knowledge and experience managing large-scale infrastructure (IAM, OUs, Account Vending)
• Infrastructure as Code experience (Python, CDK, Terraform) with rigorous infrastructure code reviews
• Observability and resiliency expertise; DR/BC strategies
• Agile methodologies and strong cloud cost optimization understanding (Rightsizing, Spot, RI)
