SOC Security Analyst: Incident Response & Threat Hunting

Our client, a leading financial institution, is looking for an experienced individual to join its Security Operations Center, who can detect cyber attacks at an early stage, handle them professionally, and continuously strengthen the IT security architecture.

Your activities

• Identification, analysis, and handling of IT security incidents and cyberattacks
• Assessment of causes and criticality of incidents
• Coordination of appropriate countermeasures (security incident response)
• Preparation of documentation and reports for internal committees, auditors, and supervisory authorities
• Support in the further development of security incident management and threat hunting
• Development of new security use cases in SIEM systems
• Conducting threat intelligence analyses
• Collaboration with other IT security units and interdisciplinary teams
• Supporting awareness campaigns to sensitize employees to cyber risks

Your profile

• Completed degree in (business) information technology or comparable technical training with a focus on IT security
• Experience in the Security Operations Center (L1–L3 analyses) and working with SIEM tools
• Practical experience in technical or forensic analysis of security incidents (network, host, malware, client)
• In-depth knowledge of network security, vulnerability analysis, and defensive measures
• Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations (ISO 27001/27035, NIST CSF, MaRisk, BAIT)
• Strong communication skills, team spirit, and structured approach to work
• High willingness to learn and sense of responsibility for information security
• German at least C1, English at least B2
