Software Developer - C++*

As a Software Developer (C++) you will build and optimize software for TOMRA’s intelligent sorting machines, blending modern C++ with AI-assisted tech and sensor data processing. You’ll work on production and QA tooling, and directly test on real machines, collaborating across engineering and service teams. You contribute to software quality, performance, and reliability in a hands-on, industrial setting. • Develop and optimize C++ software for sensor-based sorting machines
• Work on software for production and quality control jigs
• Implement new software modules, features and machine logic
• Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve software issues
• Test and validate software directly on machines under real operating conditions
• Collaborate closely with electrical, mechanical, production and service teams
• Contribute to continuous improvements in software quality, performance and efficiency
• Prepare technical documentation and support troubleshooting activities

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Strong C++ development skills
• Experience in software development for industrial, embedded or machine-related environments is of advantage
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Interest in industrial systems, machinery and hands-on engineering work
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments
