Software Developer - Embedded Wireless Modules (m/w/d)

In this role you will design, implement, and maintain firmware and software for wireless modules, integrating them into Embedded Linux and Android platforms. You’ll bring up RF hardware, validate protocols, and ensure quality and regulatory compliance. You will contribute to system design and support customers with technical implementations. This is a hands-on position at the intersection of firmware, wireless tech, and product integration, offering impact from module level to platform integration.

• Design, development, and maintenance of firmware/software for wireless modules (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE/5G, UWB)
• Driver development and integration into Embedded Linux and Android
• Bring-up, debugging, and testing of RF hardware modules
• Maintain and enhance development environment, build systems, and test infrastructure
• Develop automated tests for R&D and production (RF protocol validation and conformance)
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, EMC, and regulatory directives (RED, FCC)
• Contribute to system/software architecture for wireless stacks and platform integration
• Technical communication with customers and implementation of new product features
• Conduct internal trainings and knowledge transfer on wireless tech and firmware

• Several years of embedded firmware or Embedded Linux development for wireless modules
• Excellent C/C++ programming skills (also Bash and Python)
• Hands-on driver development and low-level software for embedded systems
• Proficiency with toolchains, debuggers, analyzers, and RF measurement equipment
• Knowledge of software architecture and design methodologies
• Experience with RF and wireless protocol stacks
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in CS/EE/Communications or related field
