Software Developer – Java (Eclipse) and Python (m/f/d)

Overview

In this role you will design, develop, and maintain a Java-based online help and technical documentation platform. You will work closely with Eclipse-based development, web technologies, and CI/CD tooling to deliver robust software and documentation updates. You’ll contribute to Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) initiatives and bridge Java and Python services for AI-enabled tooling. This position offers impact across product docs and developer tooling within a collaborative, cross-functional team.

Verantwortungsbereiche

Design, develop, test, and maintain a Java-based application for online help and documentation
Develop and maintain responsive web components using Java, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, XML, and XSLT
Build, package, and release updates via Jenkins CI and Git
Provide technical support for the Eclipse-based help system
Contribute to Documentation RAG project and design/implement RAG pipelines
Own the integration layer between Java platforms and Python-based RAG services (API design, auth, error handling, performance)
Develop and maintain Python services following clean code and testing practices
Assist in evaluating AI/LLM solutions for correctness, performance, and robustness

Zentrale Anforderungen

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
Strong hands-on experience with Java, OOP, and Eclipse-based development
Experience with web technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, XML/XSLT)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins), Git, and Linux/Windows development
Willingness to work with Python in AI-enabled tooling
Strong analytical skills and ability to understand complex technical environments
Excellent English communication and collaborative mindset
