Software Developer Java (m/f/d)

In this role you will design, develop, and enhance mission-critical Java-based platforms that manage cash logistics and security. You will work within an agile team to deliver secure, scalable enterprise applications and contribute to architectural decisions. The role includes exploring AI-assisted development tools and applying responsible practices to improve quality, testing, and documentation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across a global, multi-cultural environment in Munich and Gurugram. • Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based enterprise applications with focus on security, performance, scalability, and maintainability
• Contribute to technical design decisions, estimations, and architectural discussions
• Develop PoCs to evaluate new technologies
• Collaborate with business analysts, testers, and fellow developers across the SDLC
• Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve production incidents
• Apply and promote AI-assisted software development practices with responsible usage and validation
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the cross-functional agile team and build-in quality
• Support knowledge sharing and a culture of continuous learning and innovation

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of professional Java development experience
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Framework, Hibernate/JPA, EJB, RESTful APIs
• Experience with enterprise application servers such as WebSphere or JBoss
• Solid understanding of OO design, software architecture, and enterprise development
• Hands-on experience with non-functional requirements including security, performance, scalability, and automated testing
• Experience with relational DBs like Oracle or SQL Server, including query optimization
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and responsible AI usage, security, and result validation
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging skills
• Excellent English communication for international collaboration
