Our core backend runs on a high performance, polyglot ecosystem of Go and Java services built on Kafka, aiming for high throughput. We value engineers who are naturally curious and proactive. You will read, trace, and understand workflows across the entire codebase, looking beyond your primary language to solve complex problems

Own the Backend: Design, build, and deploy robust, scalable, high performance backend services in Java that power our core platforms
Serve the Data: Expose backend endpoints through GraphQL, with efficient data fetching, query optimization, and clean integration with frontend systems
Architect for Scale: Build event driven solutions on Kafka for seamless data flow, system reactivity, and extreme reliability
See the Whole System: Keep full visibility across the backend ecosystem, and understand how services integrate across our distributed infrastructure
Ship with AI: Use LLM and agentic tools to move fast, while keeping total ownership and full understanding of the generated code
Solve Time: Tackle the hard challenges around how Time is managed, processed, and presented across the globe
Translate the Hard Stuff: Work closely with cross functional teams to turn complex scheduling requirements into clean, elegant technical solutions

The Distributed Layer: Practical experience with distributed systems, microservices, and event driven architectures built on Kafka
The Systems Mind: Strong systems level thinking, with the ability to read, debug, and understand multi language codebases
The Toolkit: Professional experience designing, developing, and shipping production ready, highly concurrent backend services in Java
You’ll thrive here if you are a builder who values customer impact as much as clean systems
The Foundation: A Bachelor’s in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equal practical experience
The Infra: Deep knowledge of reactive programming models, cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
The AI Edge: Advanced experience using modern AI assisted engineering workflows (Specs, Loops, agentic tools) to safely speed up backend testing, generation, and architecture validation
The API Layer: Experience designing and serving APIs, ideally GraphQL
The Fundamentals: A strong foundation in computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, and distributed system design
