This role offers the opportunity to build secure, scalable backend systems that support a globally trusted cybersecurity platform. The successful candidate will design and enhance server-side services, APIs, and core application functionality using modern backend technologies. You will work on high-impact engineering initiatives, solving complex technical challenges while improving system reliability and performance. The position combines hands-on development, architectural decision-making, and collaboration with experienced engineers and product teams. You will contribute to secure software practices, clean code standards, and long-term platform maintainability. Accountabilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java.
• Build clean, efficient, and maintainable server-side code supporting core application features.
• Implement and improve business logic while ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
• Work with relational databases to design schemas, write queries, and optimize performance.
• Collaborate with engineers and product stakeholders to define, design, and deliver new features.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to backend engineering standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues involving performance, reliability, and correctness.
• Apply secure coding practices to protect sensitive data and application services.
• Contribute to Agile development processes and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional backend software development experience.
• Strong experience with server-side Java development.
• Solid understanding of backend application architecture and API design.
• Experience working with MySQL or similar relational database technologies.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to changing priorities.
• Experience with Kotlin is highly valued.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
