Software Engineer - Frontend Autonomous Air System V&V

In this role you will own and evolve the user interface and visualization layer for autonomous air system validation, working closely with product, UX, and backend engineers. You’ll translate complex simulation data into intuitive UIs, shape reusable component libraries, and contribute to robust, production-ready frontend features. You’ll operate in a high-stakes, technically ambitious environment that values ethics, transparency, and cross-functional collaboration. • Review code, proposals, and RFCs to unblock others
• Own the user interface end-to-end from wireframes to production code
• Propose and implement new features, visualizations, or full products across the stack
• Translate complex data into usable visualizations for engineers
• Establish and evolve the component library for consistency and reuse
• Mentor teammates and contribute to interviewing and onboarding
• Share knowledge via tech talks and internal learning sessions
• Engage with backend systems (Rust) to improve integrations
• Develop and maintain tests and benchmarks for robustness
• Present work at weekly demos to align and gather feedback

• Strong frontend design and coding with JavaScript
• State-of-the-art experience with React
• Experience designing data-heavy UIs and conducting user research/prototyping
• Experience with REST and GraphQL APIs
• Comfort with unfamiliar backends; some exposure to Rust preferred
• Able to write maintainable, performant code
• English communication skills (verbal and written)
• Collaborative, code-reviewed culture and pair programming
• Comfort with asynchronous work (PRs, RFCs, discussions by email)
