Software Engineer (m/f/d) in Telemetry Team

As a Software Engineer on Advantest's telemetry team, you will help design and build a data-centric telemetry solution for V93000 test systems. You work in a small, cross-functional team to collect, transfer, process, and analyze telemetry data across global deployments. You’ll define data models, select suitable tools, and implement software in iterative sprints while validating with partners and customers. This role combines systems programming and data engineering to enable reliable, secure telemetry at scale.

• Identify requirements and constraints for a telemetry solution
• Define data formats and models, and establish processing procedures
• Select appropriate tools and technologies for the solution
• Design and implement software incrementally in an agile team
• Validate the solution in-house and with partners/customers
• Consult teams on the utilization of the telemetry solution

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or related field
• Solid understanding of software engineering practices including CI/CD, Git, and automated testing
• Experience with Linux operating system and systems programming on Linux
• Proficiency in programming languages used for systems programming and data engineering with emphasis on code quality
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, especially data pipelines/data storage and batch processing frameworks
• Understanding of security and compliance in data handling (networking, encryption, access control, data anonymization)
• Team player with international collaboration experience
